Spring Edibles Series: Growing Herbs (Online)

March 26, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm

Attend the fourth workshop in the “Spring and Summer Vegetable Garden Planning” series on March 26th from 1:00-2:15!

Description:  Learn the basics of growing, harvesting and using culinary herbs.  Start your plants from seeds, cuttings, transplants and divisions.  Integrate your herbs in your landscapes, vegetable gardens, and containers.  Learn how to maintain your plants using sustainable methods and how to harvest your herbs for maximum flavor.  We will share many ideas for how to use your fresh and preserved herbs!

Co-Presenter Master Gardener Kathy Fleming:
Kathy loves creating a balance at her Peninsula home by growing culinary herbs and flowers in containers and her perennial landscape. She uses the herbs and edible flowers in many recipes, either fresh and/or dried, and loves sharing them with friends and neighbors.  Kathy has been a Master Gardener since 2006 and always enjoys speaking and sharing ideas about her passion.

Co-Presenter Master Gardener Cindi Morris:  Cindi has had a love affair with plants since 4th grade. Her father worked at Ferry Morse Seed Company and she loved peeking into the labs to see all the experiments. She enjoys germinating seeds and finds it fascinating how a small seed can turn into a beautiful plant.
