Rebates and Incentives to Help You Transition to Clean Energy

The hottest temperatures on record, disastrous hurricanes and shocking wildfires are convincing more and more people to transition away from fossil fuels to clean energy. On Wednesday, October 18, two experts offer tips and describe incentives and cost savings that can help you make the switch.

This free program, “Rebates and Incentives to Help You Transition to Clean Energy,” will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the zero-net-energy Burlingame Community Center at 850 Burlingame Ave. in Burlingame. It is presented by the Citizens Environmental Council and cosponsored by Burlingame’s Parks and Recreation Department, Peninsula Clean Energy, the Building Decarbonization Coalitionand 350 Silicon Valley. Admission is free, but pre-registration is required.

Vanessa Shin, Community Outreach Specialist for Peninsula Clean Energy, and Friday Apaliski, Director of Communications for the Building Decarbonization Coalition, will discuss what electrification entails, why it’s important and how you can save money with rebates and incentives. Switching to an all-electric home can improve your indoor air quality, cut climate and air pollution, and help ensure your community is more resilient to the impacts of climate change.
