Master Gardener School Garden Leaders Workshop
Description: School Garden Leaders – come to learn and share ideas at our spring in-person workshop on Saturday, Mar 18, 2023, from 9:00 am until noon.
Topics covered at this session:
- Solar oven use at school
- Microgreens for the classroom
- Summer staple crops
- Native American usage of California Native Plants
Workshop Fee: $20 donation requested to support the UC Master Gardener Program.

San Mateo school location for the workshop to be provided after registration.
School Garden Workshop Team: UC Master Gardeners Betsy Colby, Kristi Waldron, Kim Ricket and Emily Cheng have over 45 years of experience creating lessons and teaching in school gardens. The team supports school gardens throughout San Mateo and San Francisco counties by offering consultations and advice to new and existing school garden programs. They hold workshops and seminars to help educate school garden leaders and to give them ideas to share in their own school gardens. The team looks forward to helping teachers and parents find ways to include gardens in their curriculum.
