Free Garden Tours – California Native Plant Habitat Garden & Herb Garden
September 18, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Free![](https://www.flowstobay.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Screen-Shot-2022-07-31-at-2.33.46-PM.png)
Master Gardeners will give free tours of the two gardens, both at the San Carlos City Center. (No registration required.)
The Native Plant Habitat Garden is three years old. It is a demonstration garden reflecting the use of low-water plants, without the usage of chemicals, pesticides or fertilizers. In addition to the aesthetic appeal of this low-maintenance garden, docents will point out the habitat features that invite native birds, bees, butterflies and other fauna to live, interact and support each other in this environment.
The Herb Garden is divided into several sections: Mediterranean, California Native, Latin, Mint, and Eastern. It is a venue to demonstrate how to grow and care for a variety of herbs. The goal is to explore this garden by using touch, smell and taste.
