Applications due for The Youth Climate Ambassadors (YCA) Program 2021

Calling all 9th-11th grade students in San Mateo County! The Youth Climate Ambassadors (YCA) program is currently accepting applications for the 2021 cohort. The YCA program provides students with a year-long opportunity to dive into social and environmental issues contributing to the global climate crisis. Students will build their knowledge of climate change, explore various climate solutions, and design-and implement- an impact project that helps make their community more environmentally sustainable.
This is a great opportunity for interested students to gain real-world experience working with modern environmental issues. Interested students should learn more and apply here: smcsustainability.org/climate-change/youth-climate-ambassador/apply/
Applications open October 16th, 2020 and will close on November 29th at midnight. Students will hear back regarding acceptance into the YCA Program in mid-December, 2020. Youth Climate Ambassadors are eligible to receive a $500 stipend after completing all program requirements.
