Plastic experts will offer solutions for reducing and avoiding plastic waste at this free program presented by the Citizens Environmental Council. They include Shirley Freriks, who has specialized in recycling since the early 1990s, Alexandra Rinear of Recology, Laura Porter of Byrd’s Filling Station and Karen Noryko of Ridwell. Ridwell is inviting each attendee to bring one bag of plastic film they would like to recycle at no cost; types accepted are described at ridwell.com/what-is-plastic-film.
