Citrus Tree Care

Description: Everyone should have at least one citrus in their landscape. You will learn which trees will thrive in our area, how and where to plant them, common problems and diseases, and a discussion about the Huanglongbing disease and the threat it poses. This presentation is offered through the San Mateo County Libraries.

Presenters Master Gardener Kathleen Putnam and Master Gardener Lisa Putnam: Kathleen is a professional organic vegetable gardener serving the Mid-Peninsula and is an ISA Certified Arborist. Kathleen has a degree in Environmental Horticulture from City College of San Francisco. Kathleen’s passions are fruit trees and soil. Lisa has a BS in Agricultural Economics from UC Davis and also studied nutrition science at Davis. She currently operates a small sustainable organic farm in Woodside and Portola Valley, and is a Master Composter. Lisa’s passions are soil and compost.
