First Flush Volunteer Training
October 6, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Join the San Mateo Resource Conservation District for their biggest volunteer event of the year! First Flush is the first big rain of the season, when pollutants that have accumulated across the landscape during the dry season wash off the land and enter storm drains and creeks and flow into the ocean. San Mateo RCD is seeking adventurous volunteers to help collect water samples from creeks and storm drains to help ensure clean water in creeks and beaches here in coastside San Mateo County.
This is a one-time volunteer event that will have a positive and long-term impact in our community. If they come, the first big rains will likely arrive in November or December. No experience necessary. Training provided. Be a scientist for a day, Water Warrior for a lifetime!
Volunteer training will be held on Wednesday October 6th, 2021 at 6:30pm.
