About: The Burlingame Citizens Environmental Council (CEC) is an all-volunteer organization whose mission is to champion a more environmentally and economically sustainable community.  CEC was organized in 2009 as a response to a recommendation in Burlingame's Climate Action Plan. CEC provides leadership in local green efforts and is an educational resource for residents, businesses, and institutions.  The CEC welcomes participation by all members of the Burlingame community.

Programs: Adopt-a-tree program, speaker, film, and workshop events, the Burlingame Green Fair, and advocacy.


Volunteer Opportunities: Attend the CEC meeting on the second Wednesday of each month from 7 to 8:45 pm at the Burlingame Main Library, 480 Primrose Road in the Lane Community Room.  Please use the lower Bellevue Avenue entrance near the public parking lot.  Adopt-a-tree, Patronize Burlingame's Certified Green Businesses, be an environmental advocate for Burlingame, and attend a speaker, film and workshop event (see event flyer below).
